Cannabis Cultivation 101

Last week I wrote a article outlining how to start growing a Cannabis Plant. It may sound simple, with practice it will be. Patience and effort is important when it comes to growing a marijuana plant. Since growing takes a long time and process, I’m gonna help get you started with some insight into Cannabis Cultivation 101.
Now I recently purchased a book online that outlines many key points in growing marijuana. From beginning to end, there are many factors to keep in mind. Even as we begin, there are many ways to germinate a seed. I want to outline the ones I’ve used so far. (Remember there are other ways but I only outline the methods I’ve used) The growing guide I’ve recently purchased outlines other ways as well and is available on Amazon.
Today you might ask, what is the best way to germinate a seed?
The Paper Towel Method
The paper towel method involves taking some regular paper towel and soaking it in lukewarm water. Wring out the paper towel afterwards to get rid of the excess amount of water. Afterwards, place the seeds on the moist paper towel, leaving about 1 inch for other seeds to sprout. Folding the paper towel over the seeds it is now time to place them in the plastic bag. Be sure to be gentle and avoid touching the seeds as much as possible.
Once in the bag, you can now allow air to build inside the bag by blowing air in or choking the bag. Tie the bag, then place it in a warm, dark area for 5 to 10 days. Once they begin to sprout, it is time for planting. I recommend waiting 5 days before even checking the seeds after they are placed in the germination area. Some experts advise you can check after as little as 24 hours or 1 day.
Water Glass Method
Another method used for germination is taking a glass and filling it with lukewarm water. Then take a seed, place it in the glass and store it in a dark place for 5 to 10 days. This allows the seed to soak in the water and begin it’s germination process. The best thing about this method is it can be used with the paper towel method.
After 24 hours place the seed in paper towel that has been soaked and rinsed with lukewarm water (22°C-25°C temperature). Then after one day, place the seed in the paper towel for another 24 hours and check for sprouting. This method speeds up the process of germination.
Once the seed is floating on the top of the water, it is ready to be planted. (Given it is 5 days or more) Seeds should also be germinated during a new moon so be sure to check for the moon phases.
Planting the Seed
Then last but not least is the planting of the seed. Instead of using the glass method or the paper towel method, just place the seed in the soil. Of course the soil should be nice and moist. Not soaked and dipping wet with water but moist. Using the glass of water method for 24 hours before planting is recommended as well.
